Airline takes top floor at Wells' Class A Meadowlands complex.


Jones Lang LaSalle Jones Lang LaSalle (NYSE: JLL) is a major real estate and money management services firm headquartered in the Aon Center in Chicago, Illinois and the only company in its industry making it into Fortune magazine's list of the 100 Best Places to Work in the U.S.  recently represented Wells Real Estate Funds in a 20,577 s/f lease to Scandinavian Airlines (SAS (1) (SAS Institute Inc., Cary, NC, www.sas.com) A software company that specializes in data warehousing and decision support software based on the SAS System. Founded in 1976, SAS is one of the world's largest privately held software companies. See SAS System. ) on the top floor at Copper Ridge Center, located at 9 Polito Avenue in Lyndhurst, NJ.

Jones Lang LaSalle senior vice president Susan Mason, executive vice president Jonathan Meisel and leasing specialists Aaron Ellison and Brian Cass Brian Cass is the managing director of Huntingdon Life Sciences (HLS), a company that provides animal testing services. Before moving to HLS, Cass was a director of Covance. He was awarded a CBE in 2002.  represented Wells in this transaction.

Part of the vibrant Meadowlands market, Copper Ridge Center is a 10story, 268,000 s/f Class A office building. The building's amenities include an atrium atrium (ā`trēəm), term for an interior court in Roman domestic architecture and also for a type of entrance court in early Christian churches. The Roman atrium was an unroofed or partially roofed area with rooms opening from it. , banking facilities, on-site day care and property management, food service, recently renovated lobby, 24/7 security service and loading and freight capabilities.

On December 20, 2006, the corporation, also known as CBRE, completed acquisition of Trammell Crow Co. in a transaction valued at $2.  represented SAS in this transaction. "The Meadowlands office market is experiencing significant tenant demand and Copper Ridge Center provides an excellent location for Scandinavian Airlines, one of the building's first tenants after its completion in 1989."

The Scandinavian Airlines lease follows the recent 161,599 s/f lease renewal consummated with Polo Ralph Lauren Polo Ralph Lauren (NYSE: RL) is American fashion designer Ralph Lauren's luxury lifestyle company. Polo Ralph Lauren specializes in high-end casual/semi-formal wear for men and women, as well as accessories, fragrance, and housewares.  Corporation within 9 Polito Avenue, as well as the addition of a Subway eatery to the property's tenant roster.

Currently, 4,074 s/f of retail space, as well as 45,600 s/f of office space, including 16,500 s/f on the 10th floor, 3,100 s/f on the 8th floor and 26,143 s/f of sub-divisiblespace on the 9th floor, remain available in the building.
