Taiwan, China Resume Direct Holiday Flights. A charter plane left Taipei for Shanghai on Friday morning to kick off a 10-day Mid-Autumn Festival The Mid-Autumn Festival (Simplified Chinese: 中秋节; Traditional Chinese: 中秋節; Pinyin: zhōngqiūjié  travel season in Taiwan and China, which seldom allow direct flights because of deep political differences.
