Air China

Air China officially will be invited to join Star Alliance Monday, Lufthansa confirmed to German newspaper Handelsblatt, which reported that Chancellor Angela Merkel Angela Dorothea Merkel  (IPA: [ˈaŋɡela doʁoˈteːa ˈmɛɐ̯kəl]) (b.  will attend the signing ceremony in Beijing. The world's largest airline alliance extended a formal invitation to Shanghai Airlines last week. Air China is 10% owned by oneworld's Cathay Pacific and there had been speculation earlier this year that it might join Star's rival. But China's largest international carrier, which has relationships with several Star airlines, now appears poised to become the alliance's 20th member. May 19, 2006

Emirates retained the title Best Airline based in Middle East & Indian Sub-Continent, and Dubai International was voted Best Airport in Europe, Middle East & Africa but lost out to Singapore Changi for the Best Airport. China Airlines

China Airlines will resume its Taipei-Osaka service from July 1 with five flights per week aboard an A330-300. It will inaugurate in·au·gu·rate

China Southern Airlines China Southern Airlines (中国南方航空公司) (SEHK: 1055, NYSE: ZNH) is an airline based in Guangzhou in the Guangdong province of the People's Republic of China.  

China Southern Airlines launched a thrice-weekly Beijing-Pyongyang service aboard 737s, a four-times-weekly Urumqi-Moscow service (resumption of a route suspended in 2003) and a six-times-weekly Guilin-Macau flight aboard newly delivered 737-800s. It also announced it will increase to daily its four-times-weekly Guangzhou-Beijing-Amsterdam 777 service. Flights will be five-times-weekly from June 24 and daily from Aug. 14. Additionally, it expanded its codeshare agreement with KLM KLM Kaiserliche Marine (Enigma: Rising Tide game)
KLM Koninklijke Luchtvaart Maatschappij (Royal Dutch Airlines)
KLM Klub Langer Menschen (German: Tall Person Club)

Thai Airways

Thai Airways chose Sabre's AirFlite Suite to "maximize total network profitability by optimizing their network and fleet structures" and Pakistan International Airlines Pakistan International Airlines Corporation, more commonly known as Pakistan International Airlines or PIA (Urdu: پی آئی اے يا پاکستان  selected the Sabre WiseVision Sales Essentials software to help streamline business processes and plan future operations. Sterling Airlines implemented the Sabre Rocade Airline Operations Suite of products, becoming the first European carrier to combine Rocade with Sabre's EC Slots slot request and management module.
