It is the national airline of Ethiopia, operating scheduled international passenger and freight services to 50 destinations world-wide, as well as domestic services to 28 destinations and passenger and cargo charter Ethiopian Airlines recently extended its network from Addis Ababa Addis Ababa (ăd`ĭs ăb`əbə) [Amharic,=new flower], city (1994 pop. 2,112,737), capital of Ethiopia. It is situated at c.8,000 ft (2,440 m) on a well-watered plateau surrounded by hills and mountains. and now offers twice-daily services to Dubai, 11 weekly flights to Lagos, eight weekly flights to Accra, a daily service to Khartoum and Johannesburg, six-times-weekly flights to Dakar, five to N'djamena and four to Lome.
