Treaty could save airlines billions. A treaty known as the Cape Town Cape Town or Capetown, city (1991 pop. 854,616), legislative capital of South Africa and capital of Western Cape, a port on the Atlantic Ocean. It was the capital of Cape Province before that province's subdivision in 1994.  Convention aims to reduce the risk of financing the purchase or lease of aircraft, and it could save airlines billions of dollars. Korean Air

Korean Air and AeroMexico announced a codeshare agreement effective March 1 allowing Korean Air passengers arriving in Los Angeles to connect to AeroMexico flights to Mexico City and Guadalajara. AeroMexico passengers will be able to connect through LAX to KAL's Seoul service. The airlines already share loyalty program reciprocity through SkyTeam. Mar 3, 2006

QantasLink

QantasLink said it will begin operating its new Q400s on its Queensland routes today. The five 72-seat aircraft will join the carrier's 50- and 36-seat Dash 8s on services between Brisbane, Gladstone, Rockhampton, Mackay, Townsville and Cairns Cairns, city (1991 pop. 64,463), Queensland, NE Australia, on Trinity Bay. It is a principal sugar port of Australia; lumber and other agricultural products are also exported. The city's proximity to the Great Barrier Reef has made it a tourist center. . Feb 28, 2006

Royal Air Maroc

Royal Air Maroc was selected to participate following a consultation launched by the Gabonese government. The shareholder agreement calls for RAM and Air Gabon International to maximize possible synergies from a commercial, technical and economic standpoint. The former Air Gabon was often criticized for lax safety standards and the operation of old aircraft.
