Alaska Airlines Alaska Airlines, (NYSE: ALK) is an airline based in Seattle, Washington, United States. It operates hubs at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport, Los Angeles International Airport, and Portland International Airport.  

Alaska Airlines plans to spend $3.5 million to upgrade at its Nome, Alaska Nome is a city located on the southern Seward Peninsula coast of Norton Sound in the Nome Census Area of the U.S. state of Alaska. According to 2005 Census Bureau estimates, the city population was 3,590. , Airport terminal. Construction is scheduled to begin this month and be completed in March 2007. The existing passenger lobby will be almost doubled in size and renovated. The carrier currently operates three flights a day in and out of Nome. Jun 30, 2006

Comair

Comair asked the US Bankruptcy Court bankruptcy court n. the specialized Federal court in which bankruptcy matters under the Federal Bankruptcy Act are conducted. There are several bankruptcy courts in each state, and each one's territory covers several counties.  again to void its labor contract with 1,100 flight attendants following a breakdown in negotiations over a new agreement. The Cincinnati-based Regional, a subsidiary of Delta Air Lines, is seeking $8.9 million in annual concessions from the flight attendants and sought court permission in April to cancel the contract. That request was rejected by the court, which concluded that Comair had failed to offer flight attendants a "fair and equitable" contract. The bankrupt carrier is attempting to shed more than $40 million in annual costs and has reached cost-cutting agreements with its mechanics and pilots. Those deals are contingent on the flight attendants also reaching an accord, however. The airline asked the court to reverse its earlier decision while the union urged the court to keep negotiations going. Jun 28, 2006

Hawaiian Airlines filed a motion seeking a court order to stop Mesa Air Group Mesa Air Group (NASDAQ: MESA) is a Nevada Corporation[1] commercial aviation holding company with headquarters in Phoenix, Arizona. The company operates three regional airline subsidiaries: Mesa Airlines, Freedom Airlines, and Air Midwest, and five supporting  from issuing inter-island tickets for its new startup carrier go!, which began service June 9. According to the Associated Press, Hawaiian claims to have proof that Mesa's CFO See Chief Financial Officer.  used "highly confidential documents and trade secrets obtained from Hawaiian in April 2004." At that time, Mesa was among a group of potential bidders for the bankrupt island carrier.
