Alaska Airlines Alaska Airlines, (NYSE: ALK) is an airline based in Seattle, Washington, United States. It operates hubs at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport, Los Angeles International Airport, and Portland International Airport.

Northwest, flight attendants agree to resume talks. Northwest Airlines and the Professional Flight Attendants Assn. agreed to resume contract negotiations Wednesday after union members last week voted overwhelmingly to reject a tentative agreement between the airline and union negotiators. In a statement, Northwest noted that any new proposal "must meet the $195 million cost reductions target for our flight attendant group plus the necessary other relief, in an appropriate timeframe." United Airlines will lay off at least 1,000 salaried workers by year end, CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization.
