The protest, part of Lambda Legal's nationwide "Blow the Whistle on Work place Discrimination" campaign, was the first of several designed to draw attention to a lawsuit against shoe retailer and WNBA sponsor Foot Locker Foot Locker, Inc. (NYSE: FL) is a major American sportswear and footwear retailer, with its headquarters in New York City, and operating in approximately 20 countries worldwide. It is the successor corporation to the F.W. Woolworth Company (“Woolworth’s”). . The suit claims Kevin Dunbar, 26, was harassed and fired because he is gay.

Beyond holding Foot Locker accountable, said Lambda's Michael Adams, they hope to "send a message to all employers that there's a price to be paid for discriminating against gay employees."
