Airgas Completes New Credit Agreement.RADNOR, Pa. -- Airgas, Inc. (NYSE NYSE See: New York Stock Exchange :ARG See argument. arg - argument ) today announced it has amended and restated its senior credit facility with a syndicate of banks. The five-year $1.6 billion senior unsecured credit facility (the "Credit Agreement"), consists of a US$966 million and C$40 million (the US dollar equivalent of $34 million) revolving credit Revolving Credit A line of credit where the customer pays a commitment fee and is then allowed to use the funds when they are needed. It is usually used for operating purposes, fluctuating each month depending on the customers current cash flow needs. line and a $600 million term loan. The drawing on the term loan is contingent on the maturity of $100 million of the 7.75% medium term notes on September 15, 2006, and the closing of certain acquisitions. Airgas is currently contemplating several acquisitions, which, if completed, would be funded with the borrowings that are available under the Credit Agreement. The Credit Agreement supersedes the credit agreement dated January 14, 2005, (the "2005 Agreement"), which would have matured in January 14, 2010 and permitted the company to borrow up to the equivalent of $428 million. The company's initial borrowings under the Credit Agreement total $191 million. The covenants under the new Credit Agreement are generally similar to those in the 2005 Agreement.
