Airgas Appoints McBride as President of Airgas Great Lakes.

) today announced that Kevin M. McBride has been named president of Airgas Great Lakes Great Lakes, group of five freshwater lakes, central North America, creating a natural border between the United States and Canada and forming the largest body of freshwater in the world, with a combined surface area of c.95,000 sq mi (246,050 sq km). , headquartered in Cleveland, OH, one of the regional companies that make up Airgas' distribution business.

McBride joined Airgas in March as vice president of business development for Airgas Merchant Gases, after serving as vice president and general manager of the Linde Bulk Business Group, which Airgas acquired in March to create Airgas Merchant Gases.

As president, McBride leads a region that spans Michigan, Ohio, western Pennsylvania Western Pennsylvania consists of the western third of the state of Pennsylvania in the United States.

Prior to joining Airgas, McBride had served as the vice president and general manager of the Linde Bulk Business Group, the entity created as Linde began the required divestiture. He first joined AGA in 1982, gaining sales and management experience in all phases of his career. Among his other roles were manager of on-site sales, business manager for on-site sales, regional manager, and general manager for process sales. In 2005, he was named vice president South Atlantic region for Linde Gas.

He began his career as a sales representative and sales manager with Air Products & Chemicals. He graduated from the University of South Florida

 with bachelor's degrees in marketing and management.
