AircraftMarketPlace Picks FirstPeer's P2P Solution to Power Aviation's Comprehensive Parts-Flyer Market.

AircraftMarketPlace (ACMP) announced today that it has chosen FirstPeer to power its marketplace. FirstPeer's solution, unlike Client/Server based marketplaces, leverages P2P architecture, allowing direct reading from a supplier's database. The Java-based solution developed to J2EE specifications, dramatically reduces overhead for both suppliers and ACMP's Parts-Flyer marketplace.

Server based markets require catalog updates by suppliers to third-party databases in the host marketplace's format. Updating processes usually require large investments in time and technical expertise to translate existing information to fit the host format.

John Young, COO of AircraftMarketPlace, previously employed by a supplier enablement focused software company, says he immediately recognized the value of FirstPeer when shown that suppliers weren't required to upload a catalog to join the marketplace, or publish their entire inventory to enable buyer queries for available parts.
