Company Meets Customer Demand For Expanded Capabilities

Smyrna-based Aircond Corp. recently launched a significant new division in response to growing customer demand for reliable outsourcing capabilities.

The Op2 "Optimizing Operations" division places Aircond in a new class of service providers. In addition to HVAC (Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning) In the home or small office with a handful of computers, HVAC is more for human comfort than the machines. In large datacenters, a humidity-free room with a steady, cool temperature is essential for the trouble-free  services, customers can now benefit from new facility operation capabilities including electrical, elevator, security, plumbing, backup generator and UPS systems. Op2 was born out of demand by mission-critical companies for whom system downtime The time during which a computer is not functioning due to hardware, operating system or application program failure.  costs thousands or even millions of dollars per hour. These companies are also using outsourcing as a means of increasing their bottom lines and are turning to Op2 as a reliable partner for these services.

Selected to head up the new division is 35-year Aircond veteran Ray Stribling, who has been promoted to director of Op2 services. Charlie Cayce, an Aircond employee for more than 21 years, will assist Stribling as associate director for Op2 services.

"The demand for Op2 services has surpassed our expectations significantly," said Stribling. "So far, we've added 24 technicians to our division and anticipate the need for 14 more within the next 6 months."
