AirWorks Debuts VS/Link for Roland VS880.

EDMONTON, Alberta--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 2, 1997--VS/Link, a new program from AirWorks (ASE:AWM.)(OTC Bulletin Board: AWMSF.) developed especially for Roland's VS/880 digital recorder/keyboard was recently unveiled by Roland at the Audio Engineering Society Show held September 26-29 in New York. Response from attending industry professionals was enthusiastic for VS/Link, a sound file format converter designed as a powerful method to bridge myriad sound file formats into the new-version VS880.

With VS/Link, the user can transform any common type of audio file, transfer it into the VS880 for creative manipulation, then transport and save projects into Digidesign's ProTools Session in the Mac or PowerPC. Based on S/Link, the industry's most robust transfer program acquired by AirWorks in its purchase of Synclavier last year, one of VS/Link's most compelling features is its ability to audibly play any sound file format, a performance necessity believed to be unique to S/Link.

The VS880 is a perennial favorite among musicians, composers and producers throughout the world, and is one of the most widely used digital audio keyboard/recorders in the industry.

Roland is a global giant of the music instrument industry and a pre-eminent sound creation choice for professionals and amateurs alike. VS/Link will be included in shipments of the VS880 in the mid fourth quarter, (SRP US$199) and offered to existing VS880 users through Roland's dealer network and by direct order.
