AirTran to Increase Service to Three Cities.

AirTran AirTran may mean:
  • AirTran Airways, a low cost airline
  • AirTran Holdings, an airline holding company
  • AirTran JetConnect, a defunct regional airline
 today announced that it is adding one new daily round trip flight between Atlanta Atlanta (ətlăn`tə, ăt–), city (1990 pop. 394,017), state capital and seat of Fulton co., NW Ga., on the Chattahoochee R. and Peachtree Creek, near the Appalachian foothills; inc. 1847.  and the following cities: Miami (starts October 14, 1999), Dayton (starts October 14, 1999), and Ft. Myers (starts October 15, 1999). With the addition of these flights, AirTran will now offer five daily round trips between Atlanta and Miami, four daily round trips between Atlanta and Dayton, and three daily round trips between Atlanta and Ft. Myers. Tickets for all flights are now available for purchase.

"The additional flights meet both business and leisure customers' demand for quality, low fare service, as well as provide our customers with more travel options," said Kevin Healy, vice president - planning.
