AirTran Reports May 1999 Traffic; Load Factor Increases 4.7 Points.

ORLANDO, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 3, 1999--

AirTran Holdings, Inc., today reported a 64.7 percent load factor for the month of May, up 4.7 points from a year ago. Despite a decline in capacity of 6.5 percent, traffic grew by .9 percent versus May 1998. Year-to-date, traffic has grown by 7.5 percent on a 2.9 percent increase in capacity.
