AirTran Reports 10.5 Percent Increase in March Traffic; Load Factor Increases 3.6 Points.

) recorded a 10.5 percent increase in traffic, to 313,632 million revenue passenger miles Revenue passenger miles (RPMs) is a measure of a passenger traffic for an airline flight, bus, or train calculated by multiplying the total number of revenue-paying passengers aboard the vehicle by the distance traveled measured in miles.  (RPMs), on a 4.4 percent increase in capacity. The March 1999 load factor increased 3.6 percentage points from March 1998 to 66.1 percent. AirTran carried a total of 581,318 passengers, a 25.0 percent increase from March 1998.
