AirTran Appoints Gail Evilsizor Sales Manager - Corporate Accounts.

AirTran (Nasdaq:AAIR) announced Wednesday that Gail Evilsizor has been appointed sales manager. In this position, he will build AirTran's corporate travel accounts, negotiate corporate travel agreements and work with the travel agency community in the Atlanta area.

In a career with Japan Airlines that has spanned twenty-two years, Evilsizor most recently served as regional passenger sales manager in Atlanta. In that capacity he was responsible for revenue production and customer satisfaction for eight southeastern states, Puerto Rico, the Caribbean and Santa Domingo. Prior to that, he served the airline as a district sales manager in Atlanta as well as Cincinnati. His experience also includes work with Delta Air Lines, Swissair and Air India.

Evilsizor currently serves as chairman of the board for the Humane Society of Cobb County in addition to having served on the boards of the Atlanta Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Georgia Business Travel Association. He is also a current member and past president of numerous other professional organizations including Atlanta Airline Sales and Marketing Association, the Travel Industry Association of Georgia and SKAL, an international tourism association.
