With this partnership, AirTran Airways becomes the latest in an exclusive group of travel providers to be named a Strategic Alliance Partner of VISIT FLORIDA. The announcement was made during the keynote speech by Governor Bush at the 36th Annual Governor's Conference on Tourism held this week in Jacksonville, Fla.

AirTran Airways and VISIT FLORIDA have entered into a multi-year agreement that provides the carrier with exclusive advertising, marketing, public relations public relations, activities and policies used to create public interest in a person, idea, product, institution, or business establishment. By its nature, public relations is devoted to serving particular interests by presenting them to the public in the most , promotional and sales opportunities, while also supporting the overall marketing of tourism in the state of Florida.

Terms of the agreement include co-branded advertising, logo placement in numerous VISIT FLORIDA publications and the first right of refusal of any marketing opportunities.

VISIT FLORIDA is a unique not-for-profit corporation that markets Florida tourism on behalf of the Florida Commission on Tourism, a private/public partnership. It was created by the Florida legislature in 1996 to promote Florida tourism worldwide.
