ORLANDO, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 2, 2001

AirTran Airways AirTran Airways is a low-cost airline that is a Delaware corporation with headquarters in Orlando, Florida, USA and is a subsidiary of AirTran Holdings. AirTran operates over 750 daily flights throughout the eastern USA and the Midwest, including over 270 daily departures from  offers the latest in summer air travel with a sale starting today on seven-day advance purchase fares. These fares are available for purchase and ticketing through Thursday, August 16, 2001. Travel is valid on these sale fares through December 12, 2001.

Fares range from $34 to $129 each way and are up to 35 percent off AirTran Airways' every-day low discount fares. Like all AirTran Airways fares, they require neither roundtrip purchase nor a Saturday night stay. Travelers can save even more - five percent more, in fact - by logging on to www.airtran.com and purchasing tickets via the Internet.
