It is equal to the number of seats available multiplied by the number of miles flown. This measures an airlines capacity for transporting passengers.  (ASMs) and passengers enplaned, all represent record highs for the month of October.

Based on RPMs, traffic grew by 33.6 percent, to 616.9 million RPMs, on an increase of 21.0 percent in capacity, based on available seat miles (ASMs). October also set an all-time record for ASMs in a month with nearly 893 million. October's load factor reached 69.1 percent, compared to 62.6 percent in October 2002. The airline also enplaned 1,005,194 passengers in the month of October, a 25.4 percent increase over October 2002, and a record for the month of October.
