Revenue Passenger Miles (RPMs) were 294,823,000, an 18.6 percent decrease from October 2000 while Available Seat Miles Available seat miles (ASM) is a measure of an airline flight's passenger carrying capacity. It is equal to the number of seats available multiplied by the number of miles flown. This measures an airlines capacity for transporting passengers.  (ASMs) were 492,107,000, a 5.4 percent decrease from October 2000. Load factor was 59.9 percent in October 2001 compared to 69.6 percent in October 2000.

"We are encouraged by recent booking trends. Passenger traffic is building towards more normal levels," said Robert Fornaro, president and chief operating officer Chief Operating Officer (COO)
