AirTran Airways, a subsidiary of AirTran Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:AAI) today reported record April traffic numbers as April 2002 traffic increased 13.4 percent versus April 2001. The load factor reached 70.5 percent and the airline enplaned 838,395 passengers for the month of April 2002 - an increase of 5.4 percent over April 2001.
