"We look forward to bringing people together this summer," states Robert L. Fornaro, president and chief operating officer Chief Operating Officer (COO)

The officer of a firm responsible for day-to-day management, usually the president or an executive vice-president.
. "AirTran Airways is committed to delivering a safe and efficient travel experience," states Fornaro. AirTran Airways offers the following tips:

-- Be prepared. Check-In for your flights up to 24 hours prior to

departure with our new Online Flight Check-In on airtran.com.

You will be able to print your boarding passes, select your

seat assignment, and print a receipt from your PC.

-- Avoid the lines. Check-in for your flights using our new

ByePass kiosks located at the airport where you may print your

boarding passes, select your seat assignment and print a

receipt.

-- Pack smart. Please place your medicine, jewelry jewelry, personal adornments worn for ornament or utility, to show rank or wealth, or to follow superstitious custom or fashion.

The most universal forms of jewelry are the necklace, bracelet, ring, pin, and earring.
 and other

valuables in your carry-on baggage.

-- Travel with as few bags as needed as needed prn. See prn order. . Remember you are allowed

one carry-on bag and one personal item. A personal item is

defined as a purse, briefcase In Windows 95/98, a system folder used for synchronizing files between two computers, typically a desktop and laptop computer. Files to be worked on are placed into a Briefcase, which is then transferred to the second machine via floppy, cable or network. , diaper bag or laptop computer

bag. Per FAA regulations, both the carry-on bag and the

personal item must fit underneath the seat in front of you or

in the EasyFit overhead bins.

-- Allow sufficient time. During the summer, anticipate possible

slowdowns caused by heavy traffic, crowded airport parking

lots, and busy ticket counters and security checkpoints. We

recommend that passengers arrive at the airport 90 minutes

prior to scheduled departure time.

-- Be aware of items which cannot be carried onboard Refers to a chip or other hardware component that is directly attached to the printed circuit board (motherboard). Contrast with offboard. See inboard. . Security

requirements prohibit passengers from taking certain items in

their carry-on bags, which include: knives of any length,

cutting instruments (any kind) including carpet knives, box

cutters and folding or retractable re·tract

length or composition. For up-to-date information on permitted

or prohibited items, visit http://www.tsa.gov.

-- Identify your baggage inside and outside the bag. Place a

baggage tag with your name, home address and telephone number

on the outside of your bag. It is also a good idea to put your

home address, telephone number, destination address and

telephone number inside your bag.

-- Keep baggage unlocked. The Transportation Security

Administration suggests that passengers keep their checked

baggage unlocked so that locks do not have to be broken should

the bag require a search.

-- You will need ID. AirTran Airways' security procedures require

that all travelers 18 years of age and older show a

government-issued photo ID, such as a valid driver's license Noun 1. driver's license - a license authorizing the bearer to drive a motor vehicle

a passport or military ID. If you do not have one of the

above, you may show two forms of non-photo ID, at least one of

which must be issued by a local, state or federal government

agency such as the following: birth certificate, Medicare

card, voter registration Voter registration is the requirement in some democracies for citizens to check in with some central registry before being allowed to vote in elections. An effort to get people to register is known as a voter registration drive. Centralized/compulsory vs.  card, Social Security card. You must

have your ID out and available at the security checkpoint (programming) checkpoint - Saving the current state of a program and its data, including intermediate results, to disk or other non-volatile storage, so that if interrupted the program could be restarted at the point at which the last checkpoint occurred.  and

also during the boarding process. Ensure that the name on your

itinerary matches the name on your identification.

-- In addition to your ID, you must bring one of the following

documents to go through the security screening checkpoint:

-- boarding pass issued by Online Flight Check-In at
            airtran.com

-- boarding pass issued by ByePass Kiosk

-- boarding pass issued at ticket counter

If you do not have one of the above listed documents, you must go to the ticket counter prior to going through the security screening checkpoint.

-- Only ticketed passengers may proceed past the security

screening checkpoint. If you are assisting a passenger with

disabilities or a child traveling alone, please check with the

AirTran Airways' ticket counter.

-- At the airport security checkpoint, remember IN, OUT and OFF

for a smoother process.

-- Put metal IN your carry-on bag. This includes jewelry,
loose change, keys, cell phones, pagers and PDAs.

-- Take OUT your laptop computer. Place it in a bin, separate
            from its carrying case.

-- Take OFF your outer coat. Place it in a bin.

-- Once you arrive at the gate, stay close to the departure gate.

Board when your row number is called. You may be selected for

additional security screening during the boarding process.
