Based in the airline's hub at Atlanta, Ga., Manfredi will be responsible for managing the more than 1,000 flight attendants at AirTran Airways and for delivering a consistent inflight product to our customers. With more than 20 years of experience in the airline industry, Manfredi most recently served as a senior account executive with Northwest Airlines. In addition, Manfredi has served as a manager of customer service, assistant manager of inflight service and flight attendant manager at Northwest Airlines. "Susan brings a vast amount of experience and knowledge to the AirTran Airways' leadership team," said Jack Smith, AirTran Airways' senior vice president of customer service. Manfredi began her airline career as a flight attendant at Hughes Airwest. She then worked for Republic Airlines and American Airlines as a flight attendant. Manfredi earned a B.S. degree in Mathematics from Georgia State University and an M.S. degree in Administration from Central Michigan University Central Michigan University, at Mount Pleasant, Mich.; coeducational; est. 1892 as a normal school, became Central State Teachers College in 1927, achieved university status in 1959. The university maintains a forest that is used for botanical and biological research. The Clarke Historical Library contains material on the Old Northwest Territory..
