This revised commission structure provides professional travel agents with a five percent uncapped commission for bookings utilizing the travel agent section of AirTran Airways' Web site. The site provides agents with direct access to AirTran Airways' flight schedules, fares, passenger itineraries and e-mail confirmations for all bookings, as well as various reporting capabilities.

"In the coming months, AirTran Airways will announce additional enhancements for agents - making it even more convenient and beneficial to book their clients via airtran.com," said Bill Howard, AirTran Airways' national sales director. "We look forward to continuing our partnership with travel agents for the benefit of our mutual clients. We believe AirTran Airways' web-based program provides travel agents with fair compensation and access to our best fares, while allowing us to manage other distribution related expenses. By maintaining a low-cost structure, AirTran Airways is able to provide affordable fares which stimulate new business - benefiting both travelers and travel agents," stated Howard.

AirTran Airways provides affordable air travel with 388 flights a day to 37 cities throughout the eastern United States.
