The interline ticketing and baggage agreement permits British Airways tickets to be issued over AirTran Airways' routes and provides for the seamless transfer of baggage from one carrier to another. This agreement offers AirTran Airways' customers a through ticketing option for international travel. For example, a passenger in Newport News, Va, can fly into Atlanta on AirTran Airways and connect to London via British Airways without the need to re-claim and re-check luggage.
