On June 19, 2002, the airline will launch two daily nonstop flights between Milwaukee and Atlanta and one daily nonstop flight between Milwaukee and Orlando, with connections to dozens of additional cities. In addition, AirTran Airways will begin nonstop service from Milwaukee to Tampa on October 5, 2002, and Fort Lauderdale Fort Lauderdale (lô`dərdāl), residential, commercial, and resort city (1990 pop. 149,377), seat of Broward co., SE Fla., on the Atlantic coast; settled around a fort built (c.1837) in the Seminole War, inc. 1911.  on November 5, 2002.
