AirTouch Opens One-stop Shopping Retail Store in Omaha, Neb.

, Neb.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 2, 1998--Just in time for the busy holiday shopping season, AirTouch Cellular is celebrating the grand opening of its first one-stop-shopping wireless retail store in Omaha.

To celebrate the store openings, AirTouch is offering a special service promotion of 600 digital minutes for $39.95 and an Audiovox 3000 cellular handset for $49, which includes a car lighter adapter. Another in-store promotion features a FREE Motorola StarTac The Motorola StarTAC was a clamshell mobile phone manufactured by Motorola. It was released on January 3, 1996 and is noted for being the first clamshell mobile phone[1].  flip phone when signing up for the $24.95 calling plan that includes 60 anytime minutes.

Store hours for the new AirTouch store are Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday noon to 5 p.m. To reach the store, call 402/970-0221.

For example, a pager can be discretely used in meetings to keep users apprised of important calls or messages. A wireless phone can then be used to return calls when the meeting is completed or the person is in between appointments. For the person who wants to carry one device, there also are new wireless phones that can be used as a pager.
