AirTouch Connections Answers Community Needs.


BELLEVUE, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 16, 1998--In just a little over two months of its existence, AirTouch's new community relations program That command function that evaluates public attitudes, identifies the mission of a military organization with the public interest, and executes a program of action to earn public understanding and acceptance. , known as AirTouch Connections, has donated nearly $35,000 to 75 charitable organizations in its service territory.

Building on the community involvement of its employees, AirTouch Connections launched in late January in 10 states, including Colorado, Idaho, Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.

The Employee Volunteers component of the program offers modest cash donations to eligible non-profit organization for which employees actively volunteer. Initial response from employees has been strong, generating 65 grants to 37 organizations.
