, today announced it has received a purchase order for approximately US$5M in products and services from an undisclosed customer in the Asia-Pacific region. Under the terms of the 5 year supply contract, AirNet will deploy its AdaptaCell(R) 4000XE base stations, its award winning AirSite(R) Backhaul Free(TM) TripCap(TM) base stations, and related common equipment and services.

The network will initially have approximately 40 cell sites, and is planned for deployment in phases throughout the remainder of 2005. The customer will also be deploying GPRS (General Packet Radio Service) The first high-speed digital data service provided by cellular carriers that used the GSM technology. GPRS added a packet-switched channel to GSM, which uses dedicated, circuit-switched channels for voice conversations.  services which will enable its subscribers to access the latest in high-speed data services, including web browsing, sending images, and accessing email.

The Triple Capacity Digital AirSite Backhaul Free base station provides three times the capacity of the Digital AirSite base station.
