AirMedia Announces International Licensing Program.


DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--September 10, 1997--AirMedia, Inc., operator of the only wireless Internet broadcast network which delivers real-time Internet news directly to desktop and mobile PCs even when they are not online, today unveiled its International Licensing Program. International Licensees will be companies that are well-established and have the creativity, experience and financial background to build and manage wireless broadcast networks for both the consumer and business-to-business markets. AirMedia will provide these companies with a suite of network operations software, broadcast software, client applications and development tools. International Licensees will be responsible for information content, providing access and connection to a wireless transport facility, development and manufacture of the wireless receiving devices, and localization Customizing software and documentation for a particular country. It includes the translation of menus and messages into the native spoken language as well as changes in the user interface to accommodate different alphabets and culture. Where necessary, AirMedia will also help International Licensees develop successful networks by providing specialized support on a consulting basis.

. The International Licensee Program costs include an initial Technology Licensing Fee, which covers technology transfer, training and rights to use the AirMedia technologies. In addition, licensees pay a "value-based" royalty determined by the number of users on the network.
