The two directional antennas are high gain patch antennas with ~7dBi gain at 2.4GHz and ~7dBi gain at 5GHz, in a very compact and lightweight form. The hardware kit bundled with Mobile 4.0 will be available mid-August and retails for $1695.

AirDefense Mobile runs on any Windows 2000 or XP platform, and installs on any laptop with an Atheros-based 802.11 a/b/g wireless card, such as Netgear (WAG511) or Cisco (CB21AG).
