A number of companies and software solution providers have developed and deployed AirClic-enabled applications in the U.S., Europe and Asia. Several pilot projects in Europe make use of bar codes and mobile devices for inventory tracking and field service applications. For example, Universal Postal Union, the United Nations postal agency, has developed an AirClic-enabled bar code application to improve efficiency and reliability of its international parcel and express-mail service. Ragn-Sells, a Swedish-owned waste disposal company, currently uses G-Software International's AirClic-enabled field service application to track the service schedule for thousands of disposal containers.

Capitalize on Industry-Standard SmartCodes

The AirClic Mobile Information Platform uses SmartCodes as the key for information access. MIP can convert any existing bar code, such as UPC, EAN or JAN codes, or numbering system to a SmartCode. Additionally, AirClic's AirNumber capability allows companies to convert pre-existing numeric codes associated with a service, such as flight numbers, membership numbers and warrantee numbers, into SmartCodes. Companies save system integration costs because no modifications are needed to convert existing numeric or bar code sequences into SmartCodes.
