Air2Web Offers Two New Packaged Solutions for Mobile Workers and Consumers: Out of Coverage Email and Alerts to Any Device.

Air2Web is launching two newly packaged wireless solutions, 2Mail--Air2Web's 2.0 Version of its wireless email solution, and 2Notify, a wireless alerting solution.

With 2Mail, Air2Web has extended the capabilities of corporate employees to work on email and PIM applications in and out of network coverage from many popular wireless devices. While Air2Web had previously offered powerful SMS and online browsing access to MS Exchange and Lotus Domino including attachments from all digital wireless devices, the newly renamed solution, 2Mail, now includes:

-- Persistent access on RIM, Palm and J2ME devices--With 2Mail, users are now able to read and reply to emails in and out of coverage using their RIM. This same functionality will be available for Palm and J2ME devices by end of 2002.

-- Added Security--This release of 2Mail adds content encryption, sender identity validation, and signature capability to the email environment. These advanced security features appeals to companies demanding extremely high levels of security (e.g., defense-related industries, healthcare organizations, legal firms, private sector).

-- Alerts--Users also receive email alerts containing the first 90-160 characters of the message, calendar updates and meeting reminders on short message service (SMS) devices, as well as WAP phones, PDAs and RIM pagers.

-- Support for Multiple Languages--2Mail now supports the international languages offered by Microsoft Exchange and Lotus Domino.

Early pilots of 2Mail include installations at Vigilar and Purdue Pharma L.P. With 2Mail, these companies have wireless access to all their email, calendars, contacts and attachments via Microsoft Exchange or Lotus Domino. They are using a variety of digital, wireless devices to receive their email, including Short Message Service (SMS) phones, web enabled phones (WAP) and RIM pagers. They are also receiving calendar updates, meeting alerts and email alerts on these devices.

2Notify

Air2Web has packaged our wireless alerting capabilities to provide a lower-cost, easy-to-implement, readily customized solution for different types of applications.

-- 2Notify enables businesses to alert customers and employees of

highly relevant news and information on all digital device

classes including SMS, WAP and landline phones, desktop email

systems, PDAs, Smartphones and interactive pagers. Thus,

standardization on a particular device is unnecessary.

-- 2Notify facilitates data-driven, event-based triggers for

automatic alerting based on pre-defined conditions.

-- 2Notify provides device escalation, receipt confirmation and

action prompts.

Air2Web customer India Cements, the largest producer of cement in South India, has approximately 500 sales officers dispersed across India. Because of competitive pressures, their sales representatives must be able to execute orders within three hours. Complicating the challenge, India Cements' inventory stockpiles are located in manufacturing facilities with no Internet or computer capabilities.

Previously, sales representatives called in their sales orders via mobile phones costing $1.50 USD per order. Now using the Air2Web platform, India Cements is sending its orders into headquarters via a SMS Message which is reducing their cost of placing an order down to $.12 USD.

These SMS messages are integrated with India Cements back-end ERP application and, after the order has been processed, an order confirmation alert is automatically delivered back to the sales representative's device. In addition to order confirmations, the system uses SMS alerts to inform sales representatives of shipping details, daily production stats, sales and collection summaries; general broadcast messages to employees; and price changes.
