Air2Web Inc., the leading wireless application service platform, Wednesday announced it has expanded its operations into Asia through an agreement with Kanematsu Computer System Ltd. (KCS KCS

Under terms of the agreement, KCS will provide localized sales, engineering services, and technical support while Air2Web will provide the hosted m-commerce platform for the companies' joint offering.

KCS is one of the largest phone distributors in Japan, selling more than one million cellular phones per year across Japan, and is one of the leading distributors for NTT DoCoMo (NTT Mobile Communications Network, Inc., Japan) Founded in 1991, NTT DoCoMo is a spinoff of Japan's NTT (Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation) which provides wireless services, including cellular, paging, satellite and maritime and in-flight telephone services. , whose I-mode service, one of Japan's three primary wireless Internet networks, has grown rapidly to more than 10 million subscribers.
