Regarding the May-June 2009 issue of Access and the article on
airpolishing, research on compounds for use in airpolishers, other than
specially formulated sodium bicarbonate, is ongoing. In the spirit of
"FYI", dental hygienists who use airpolishers should take note
that many of the airpolisher manufacturers will not honor warranties on
their units if any stain removal product is used in the airpolishing
unit other than those specified by the manufacturer.
