Air Vice Marshals Waseem ud din and Muhammad Hassan Promoted.

ISLAMABAD, 28 May, 2009 (Frontier Star) -- Government has promoted Air Vice Marshals Waseem ud din and Muhammad Hassan to the rank of Air Marshal. Air Marshal Waseem ud din was commissioned in Pakistan Air Force on 07 October, 1977 in Flying Branch. He is an accomplished fighter pilot with rich experience on F-16s and Mirages. He is a graduate of Combat Commanders' School. During his career he has held various command and staff appointments. He has commanded a fighter squadron, a fighter wing and an Operational Air Base. The Air Marshal has served as Director Operations, Assistant Chief of Air Staff (Operations) and Additional Director General Air Force Strategic Command. At senior staff assignments, the Air Marshal has held the appointments of Director General Air Force Strategic Command and Air Officer Commanding Air Defence Command. Presently he is serving as Deputy Chief of the Air Staff (Administration). He is a graduate of the Turkish Armed Forces Staff College and Royal College of Defence Studies (United Kingdom). He holds a Masters' degree in International Affairs, from Kings College UK. Air Marshal Mohammad Hassan is a 1977 graduate of the PAF Academy. A fighter pilot of distinction he has flown a variety of combat aircraft including F-6, F-7 A-5III, F-7PG and Mirages. He is a qualified flying instructor and a graduate of Combat Commanders' School. His career has encompassed a wide range of operational, training and command assignments. He has commanded a fighter Squadron, a fighter wing and an Operational Air Base. He has also served as a flying instructor at PAF Academy Risalpur. He has held the appointments of Director Plans, Assistant Chief of the Air Staff (Operations) and Assistant Chief of Air Staff (Plans) at Air Headquarters. At senior staff assignments, the Air Marshal has served as Air Officer Commanding PAF Academy, Risalpur and Deputy Chief of the Air Staff (Training). Presently, he is serving as Deputy Chief of the Air Staff (Operations). He is a graduate of the Turkish Armed Forces Staff.
