Air Tahiti Nui to Operate 3 Los Angeles-Paris Flights in Peak Summer Months.

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 25, 2002

Air Tahiti Nui announced today that it will inaugurate 2 flights weekly to its newest destination, Paris, on May 6 with its brand new Airbus 340-300 the Mangareva. Air Tahiti Nui also announced that it will begin daily service between Los Angeles and Tahiti and add a third Paris frequency to serve the market during the peak period of June 28 through October 27.

"Air Tahiti Nui is responding to a need for additional capacity in both the Europe and North America to French Polynesia markets," said Wally Sumner, Vice President - North America for Air Tahiti Nui. "With the inauguration of our service from Tahiti via Los Angeles to Paris, we wanted to assure our travel partners in North America that we would have sufficient lift to meet their requirements. Daily service enables us to have 5 flights a week dedicated to the North American Market, and three dedicated to the European Market," Sumner added.

He pointed out that Air Tahiti Nui will operate 3 times a week from Los Angeles to Paris on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays departing at 11:50 AM with arrival set for 7:45 AM the following morning. Return flights from Paris will be offered on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays departing at 4:45 PM with arrival scheduled in Los Angeles at 7:35 PM the same day. The flights will continue on to Papeete.
