Air Products and Chemicals.

Air Products and Chemicals and Magnatech International formed a strategic alliance to develop and market integrated hose cooling systems that will enable manufacturers of braided hose to realize the benefits of cryogenic hose cooling technology without the problems associated with designing or matching together equipment from separate suppliers. The integrated system being jointly developed by the companies will incorporate a new proprietary gas recycle system that not only reduces overall liquid nitrogen consumption, and thereby reduces operating costs, but also increases the uniformity of the cooling across the entire cross-section and length of the hose. A prototype unit will be located at Magnatech's research laboratories in Sinking Springs, PA, to conduct customer evaluations and provide economic analysis of operating costs.
