) announced that it has received two Best of Category awards in the national Ameristar Packaging competition.

APTI received the first award for its unique designed AirBox(TM) for shipping photomasks in the electronic packaging category. This was in direct competition with major electronic firms from various Fortune 500 companies such as Intel, IBM and Microsoft See Microsoft and IBM. . APTI's unique AirBox(TM) for photomasks saves customers shipping costs and storage space, as well as eliminates shipping breakage of these delicate electronic components.

In addition, the company received Best of Category award in the medical competition. In this case, APTI created a unique AirBox(TM) package for shipping up to four dental molds and/or apparatuses in a protective air cushion air cushion

Achieving Best of Category awards in the Ameristar competition qualifies APTI to enter these unique packaging designs in the international competition titled Worldstar, which will take place in the fall of 1999.
