Telos to Implement Secure Deployable Wireless LANs at 25 sites

) has chosen Telos([R]) Corporation to develop its first-responder wireless capabilities as part of the implementation of deployable secure wireless LANs for 25 of its active wings and regional training centers. The task order is worth over $5.9 million and was awarded to Telos, a leading provider of secure wireless solutions to the federal government, under the NETCENTS NETCENTS Network-Centric Solutions (US Air Force)  contract vehicle.

Under the deal, Telos will engineer and install a NIPRNet deployable WLAN See wireless LAN.

WLAN - wireless local area network
 system for off-base operations in support of military and homeland defense missions, such as natural disaster or national catastrophe. Telos will also install a scaled version of the approved Air Force wireless network solution at selected ANG sites. Both implementations will mirror the architecture currently being implemented by the United States Air Force United States Air Force (USAF)
