Air Liquide America L.P. Announces Price Increases.HOUSTON -- Air Liquide America L.P. announces price increases for gases and cylinders. Price increases will be effective immediately or as existing customer contract terms and conditions allow. Prices for oxygen, nitrogen, carbon dioxide carbon dioxide, chemical compound, CO2, a colorless, odorless, tasteless gas that is about one and one-half times as dense as air under ordinary conditions of temperature and pressure. and hydrogen will increase 8 to 15 percent; acetylene acetylene (əsĕt`əlēn') or ethyne (ĕth`īn), HC≡CH, a colorless gas. These actions are being implemented in response to high capacity utilization, rising raw material, energy and distribution costs, and to support re-investment in cylinders, production and distribution equipment. In certain appropriate instances, price adjustments may be higher or lower than these ranges.
