Air Liquide America L.P. Announces Price Increases for Rare Gases.


HOUSTON -- Air Liquide America L.P. announces price increases for its rare gases sold in the U.S. These increases will be effective immediately or according to the terms of customer contracts.

Due to increases in manufacturing and distribution costs, increased demand, a continued tightening of worldwide sources and other related matters, customers can expect pricing for krypton krypton (krĭp`tŏn) [Gr.,=hidden], gaseous chemical element; symbol Kr; at. no. 36; at. wt. 83.80; m.p. −156.6°C;; b.p. −152.3°C;; density 3.73 grams per liter at STP; valence usually 0.  and xenon xenon (zē`nŏn) [Gr.,=strange], gaseous chemical element; symbol Xe; at. no. 54; at. wt. 131.29; m.p. −111.9°C;; b.p. −107.1°C;; density 5.86 grams per liter at STP; valence usually 0.  gases to increase up to 30 percent as contracts allow.
