Air France Selects Its 16th Evans & Sutherland Visual System.

SALT LAKE CITY -- Evans & Sutherland Computer Corp. (E&S(R)) (Nasdaq: ESCC) announced today that Air France has selected its 16th E&S visual system. E&S has long been a key supplier of training equipment to Air France since the airline purchased its first E&S visual system in 1979. Since then, 15 additional systems have been ordered, the latest of which will be the second EP(TM)-1000CT visual system for a new B777 full flight simulator. This follows the successful introduction into training of E&S's latest-generation product on an A320 simulator at Air France earlier in 2005.

The new simulator will be installed in the Charles DeGaulle (CDG) training facility.

Serge Gourlaouen, deputy vice president at the Air France Training Centre, commented, "There are certain synergies and advantages with operating the E&S visual system across our fleet of simulators. We are able to offer the same high-quality visual scenes to pilots flying our single-aisle fleet as well as the larger jets. As we look to the future, and particularly following the merger with KLM, we are consolidating our airport scenarios such that we have the same suite of EP-1000CT airports operating in the Air France/KLM group. This makes it easier to ensure that all airport scenes are completely up to date with the latest development at the actual airfields."
