Air Force cadet receives Goddard Award. (NDIA News).

Robert Hutchings Goddard, Ph.D. (October 5, 1882 – August 10, 1945), U.S. professor and scientist, was a pioneer of controlled, liquid-fueled rocketry. He launched the world's first liquid-fueled rocket on March 16, 1926.
 Award is presented annually to an outstanding cadet in mathematical sciences at the U.S. Air Force Academy, in Colorado Springs, Colo. Goddard, a pioneer in the field of rocketry rock·et·ry
