Air Force Selects RS Information Systems for Telecom Work at Andrews AFB.

RS Information Systems, Inc. (RSIS) has been awarded a $4 million contract to provide telecommunications and other technical services to the Air Mobility Command's 89th Communications Group at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland.

The team led by RSIS will support a key data and voice communications system for Special Air Missions aircraft flying in and out of Andrews AFB. The company's responsibilities include engineering and logistic support and software and hardware maintenance.

Rodney P. Hunt, President and CEO, pointed out that RSIS already performs engineering services at Andrews AFB, and that the new contract "is another important part of the communications constellation that supports the 89th Communications Group."

RSIS' professional services support for the Air Force spans the major commands (MAJCOMS) including contracts with the Space Warfare Center at Shriever AFB in Colorado Springs, Colo.; Aeronautical Systems Center at Wright-Patterson AFB in Dayton, Ohio; the Standard Systems Group at Maxwell AFB in Montgomery, Ala.; Pacific Air Force Command at Hickam AFB in Honolulu; and the Air Force Combat Climatology Center in Asheville, N.C.
