Air Force Awards Getronics Government Solutions System Networking Contract.

MCLEAN, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 26, 2001

The Air Force Material Command recently awarded Getronics Government Solutions its Air Force System Networking contract valued at approximately $15 million over 3 years.

The company has served this organization since 1992 and has 70 personnel in its Montgomery, Alabama Montgomery is the capital and second most populous city of the U.S. state of Alabama and the county seat of Montgomery County. Montgomery is notable for its historic involvement during the Civil War, for being the first capital of the Confederacy, and for being a primary site in  office providing advanced networking, software development and maintenance.

Under the terms of the agreement, Getronics will support the Air Force's Standard Systems Group headquarters in Montgomery, Alabama as a prime contractor on modernizing select portions of the Air Force's worldwide networking communication infrastructure.
