Air, Base & Venue, All Systems GO! TADTE '09 Readies for Take Off.

TAIPEI, Taiwan -- As the only aerospace and defense show with an open airbase, and blue sky, TADTE 2009 is all systems "GO" for the show that will fly high August 13 to 16 to open the perfect marketing platform. This biennial event that launches Taiwan's greatest endeavors in aerospace and defense technology can be called the nation's pride on parade.

TADTE, or the 2009 Taipei Aerospace & Defense Technology Exhibition is normally staged at the TWTC (Taipei World Trade Center), but this year it's being expanded to cover more than 50,000 sq. meters (including 11,129 sq. meters at Hall One) with the special opening of Taiwan's Songshan Air Force Base (Aug. 15 and 16).

This rarely open base is expected to welcome more than 20,000 trade visitors to scout out the nation's military muscle in top notch ground equipment, fighter planes, anti-aircraft weaponry, and mobile radar vehicles. There's also a line-up of civil aircraft. Above them they can watch live-action air force drills, air formation fly-bys, and fighter aircraft maneuvers. Upon them will descend the 'Shen Lung' paratroop squad who will be making high altitude base-jumps.

TADTE 2009 opens a complete offering from across the industry to showcase Taiwan's innovative results and represent government's support in the related industries. The exhibition areas at the show include the Ministry of National Defense Pavilion, Defense Industry Equipment & Technology, Aerospace Industry Equipment & Technology and International Exhibitors. More than 80 leading companies will be using 630 booths to show their best. Major international exhibitors include ITT, Kitco Defense, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, Raytheon, General Dynamics C4 Systems from the U.S. and Forjas Taurus S.A. from Brazil, to name a few.

Many firms are here for the first timeO a clear endorsement that TADTE continues to thrive as the premier aerospace and defense show in the Asia-Pacific Region. Taiwan's Ministry of National Defense is taking out 5,600 sq. meters to profile its endeavors in military and civilian technology. That space includes the latest in weaponry and R&D defense breakthroughs including those in aircraft, naval, missiles, vehicles, light and heavy armaments, and information and electronics equipment developed for land, sea, air, logistics. It features key players like the Zhongshan Institute of Science and Technology, Armament Bureau, and the MND Production and Manufacturing Center.

TADTE 2009 will also launch a series of seminars and conferences to facilitate firms and visitors to grasp the latest developments in this industry. These activities include the Pre-Show Press Conferences, An Introduction to Unmanned Aerial Vehicles Systems Technologies and Applications, The Performance-based Logistics Int'l Conference and The International Industrial Cooperation Conference and Outstanding Industrial Corporation Project Implementation & Coordinator Ceremony. The top pros from across the industry will be leading talks on the business prospects presented by these technologies.

TADTE 2009 will gain even higher international profile since TAITRA, the organizer, is cooperating with the Asian Defense Journal from Malaysia and the Asian Military Review from Thailand. Meanwhile global journalists from Defense Review in Singapore and Defense News from the U.S. have all expressed interests in doing special reports. TADTE 2009 will also be promoted at LAAD 2009 (Brazil) and the 2009 Paris Air Show.
