Mr Campbell, who is based at Thurnton near Alnwick, is a former chairman of the Scottish and North-erCharolais Breeders, and has been breeding the cattle for 35 years with his father, Colin, and brother, John. The family's Thrunton pedigree herd is now the biggest in the North East at 380 head and Charolais from it have taken the Perth supreme cham-pionshion five occasions.
