AimTech's IconAuthor 7.0 Enables Creation of interactive multimedia applications for delivery on the internet; IconAuthor 7.0 for Windows 95 and OS/2 Accesses Content on Internet.


NASHUA, N.H.,--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 30, 1995--AimTech Corporation, a leading provider of enterprise multimedia authoring systems, today introduced IconAuthor(R) 7.0, the first visual authoring tool that lets users create interactive multimedia applications for delivery on the Internet.

Using IconAuthor 7.0, users can advance beyond basic development of web pages to design sophisticated, intelligent applications with a higher level of interactivity and richer content than is possible with traditional web authoring tools. Through a unique feature called Universal Media Access, these applications can access content located on a hard disk, CD-ROM CD-ROM: see compact disc.

In addition, authors can re-use content already created or link to any HTML document stored on the Internet.

IconAuthor 7.0 will be available within 60 days at a single user list price of $4,995. The cost to upgrade from IconAuthor 6.0 is $995. A discount upgrade price of $795 is available through December 31, 1995, for existing IconAuthor customers.
